Bertrand Moren

Bertrand Moren was born on June 26, 1976. He works piano from the age of 6 years and obtains a teacher's diploma in June 1998. Also he studied the theory of music, the harmony, the dispute, the musical analysis, the history of the music and the harmony in the keyboard, in Sion's conservatoire (Switzerland).
He start his first trombone lessons at age of 8 years with his father Géo-Pierre Moren, and after with other teachers (Dany Bonvin, Branimir Slokar and Roland Schnohrk).
He won numerous soloist's contest, notably during the Swiss Championship of Brass Soloists and the Swiss Entertainment Contest. Bertrand Moren obtains his certificate of Adavanced studies of the trombone in the Conservatoire of Geneva in June 1999.
He composed about thirty works for different brass formations and especially for Brass Band. In 1998, he won the first prize of the juror as well as the price of the public in the European Competition of Brass Band's Composition organized by the European Brass Band Association what will allow him to write the imposed work for the first category in the Brass Band's European Championship in Münich in April 1999. The same year he obtained the "Ernst Graf Brass Award ", who rewards his composition 's work. He produced ' The Joy of Youth ', a CD with some of his own compositions for Brass Band and Brass Quartet.
He actually shares his time between the direction of a Brass Band, the teaching, the composition, and the practice of the trombone and the piano. He also dedicates itself a lot to accompanying, mainly in the field of brass instruments.
